This game is all about immersion (even moreso with the Misery mod!), and I'm of the belief that we all love 3D gaming for the immersion it brings, so the two are a match made in heaven! Speaking of Misery, this fix is fully compatible with that mod, but if you're not a masochist (or just want vanilla gameplay but nicer visuals) it also works perfectly fine with Atmosfear 3 and Absolute Nature/Structures mods (and both work fine together, and are completely recommended).

The same with other mutants, like snorks and bloodsuckers.Yeah, just shooting the first bandit at the barge after the dialogue sequence is the way to go. If you get a pack after you, run towards the nearest rock outcropping and jump on it, as they can't climb. Be warned, though - there are a LOT of dogs in that vicinity. Castun, if you really want to go hunting, the area up around the oakpine anomaly would be good ground. Once I saw what happened no matter what (and died) I just reloaded and shot the first guy right outside the door in the face with the double barrel and switched over to my scoped Mosin-Nagant and took out the other 2 guys, just as the last one was prepping a grenade for me.So does killing the random loners not piss everyone off then? Not really sure how the faction mechanic works in this one.

If you get attacked by a pack of dogs, it's all over, even with a powerful gun and a suit. It's also a lot further from the Skadovsk and can be teeming with snorks and dogs, so it's a far more dangerous location than the ranger station. Took on a group of a dozen or so zombies with my starter weapons, was pretty bummed to find that they had very little in the way of ammo but did manage to pick up some weapons, albeit rubbish ones with no ammo. I've retried the mod and have managed to reach the ice breaker. And if the games difficulty was based on fair and even handed gameplay mechanics such as those in Dark Souls I would agree. Yes I know the unmodded game had this issue but the unmodded game also didn't have enemies that could floor you with a single hit at a range that would be well beyond most snipers let alone a guy with a shotgun or auto rifle.I am gonna push on but I can see some of the mechanics of this mod having a combination of being tedious, repetitive and boring enough to drive me back to Factorio. Yeah the bad guys can shoot the weapons but don't actually seem to have the weapons either loaded or carry any ammo for them! I also love the fact that while the AI has clearly had an aim buff the actual AI is still brick dumb, trying to shoot through walls at targets and I really do love how once one enemy spots you EVERY enemy in the encounter area knows EXACTLY were you are.
